RFK # Camp Positions

There are many ways you can get involved. Below you will find explanations of how you can serve the kids in this area. Please join us in making moments matter!

Camp Counselors

For every counselor willing to spend the entire week at camp, another camper is able to attend. Training is mandatory. Counselors arrive at camp the day before the campers to prepare the cabins and welcome the campers as they arrive. Each counselor is responsible for one or two kiddos in order to provide the very best care for our campers.

Other Camp Staff

For every volunteer willing to spend the entire week at camp, another camper is able to attend. Training is mandatory for our supporting staff. Supporting staff members include: drama team, craft/ activity centers, lake swimming help, royal tea party, birthday party organizers/helpers, nurses, runners, photographers just to name a few. Staff arrive the day before camp to help prepare the camp and cabins and welcome the campers as they arrive.

Registration Helpers

Registration Helpers help send the campers off to camp the first day of camp. The time requirements will be 2 hours from 7:00 – 9:00 am on Monday June 17 and/or June 24 Registration helpers ensure the campers are welcomed and transferred from their caregivers safely into the hands of camp. You are the first person the campers and their caregivers meet so this role is an IMPORTANT one to help the campers feel safe and loved as they embark on their adventure.

Birthday Party Team

Thursday at camp means it’s “EVERYONES BIRTHDAY” come be part of our celebration team. We need 6-10 people that can come to camp for the day and help us throw the biggest and best birthday party you have ever seen. We need help with set-up and tear down, decorating, running the carnival and most of all cheering for our kiddos as we celebrate their birthday.

Welcome Home Team

WELCOME HOME! For every camper that goes to camp, there are at least 2 adults that are needed to staff the camp properly for their safety. This is BIG week for the campers and their counselors and the many staff members it takes to make the week a success! We welcome the campers home as we reunite them with their caregivers with a fun welcome and a short video of the week. Then we celebrate with the counselors and staff volunteers with a catered dinner. There are many hands needed here at home to help pull together the Welcome Home Dinner for our AMAZING volunteers!
